Sample 6 Night Vacation
Package for first timers:
Day 1: Arrive CDG airport,
transfer to your hotel by private english speaking driver
Check into hotel; go out to visit Paris. Use today to
walk and stay active as jet lag will take its toll as
the day wears on. Walk through Tuileries, or Jardin
du Luxembourg, in St Germain area. Visit some sites
that won't have lines and are relatively short visits:
From Luxembourg Gardens you can walk to Odeon and St
Germain; see the St Sulpice church, and if you feel
strong for a longer visit; see the Abbaye St Germain
des Pres. Early dinner and back to your hotel.
Day 2: Take today
to visit the Eiffel Tower, Invalides, and the Musee
d'Orsay. Perhaps lunch at the midlevel restaurant on
the Eiffel Tower or even the Jules Verne restaurant
on the top?! A nice walk from the Invalides to the Petit
and Grand Palais near the Champs Elysees. Dinner out
tonight aboard a bateaux mouche and dinner cruise on
the Seine.
Day 3: The Louvre.
Allocate a good portion of time to spend here. You won't
and can't see it all, but plan more than 3 hours to
avoid rushing. Maybe you would like a Davinci Code Tour
to add to your Louvre visit? After, go over to the Hotel
Meurice for tea and an afternoon snack. Tonight perhaps
is a night to try a small bistro or restaurant in the
Marais where you can find middle eastern delights and
Jewish patisseries. Looking to go out on the town -
there is jazz, cinema-houses, ethnic places, opera,
nightclubs, cabaret, theatre, and anything you can imagine!
Day 4, 5, 6 - day
trip to Normandy to see WWII sites and some of the sites
inspiring to impressionist painters shown at the Orsay?
Day trip to Reims to taste champagne? Or, perhaps to
Versailles to see the famous palace? Other sites to
see in Paris include: Pompidou Center, Picasso Museum,
Notre Dame, St Chapelle, Conciergerie, and many more.
Or, perhaps you would like a guided walking tour? Or,
