We'll meet on Rue de l'Odeon, the <<bookshop street>> that became the home of many writers like Scott Fitzgerald, James Joyce, and Hemmingway... We will stop at Place de l'Odeon to look at the gorgeous Theatre de l'Odeon with its ceiling decorated by the painter Masson.  Passing the restaurant "La Mediterranee" where Orson Welles, Charles Chaplin, Elisabeth Taylor used to hang around, we'll take Rue Racine, home of Rimbaud and Pascal.  Stop a moment at the famous restaurant Polidor (whose customers used to be Raymond Queneau, Borris Vian, Max Ernest) and turn onto Rue de Vaugirard, the longest street in Paris.  Passing the French Senate, we enter into the Luxembourg Gardens, where we will see Bartoldi's Statue of Liberty and discover several marvelous busts of famous writers like Baudelaire, George Sand, or Stendhal.  Return to Rue de Vaugirard at No 58, the home of Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald.  Then stroll along Rue de Fleurus, where Gertrude Stein hosted her friends Heminway, Apollinaire, Matisse or Cezanne.  We'll stop at Place St Sulpice for a guided visit of the church before continuing our tour on Rue Git le Coeur, Place St Michel (admire the beautiful fountain), to Notre Dame (short photo stop) and cross the Seine again to finish our tour at the the very renowned "Shakespeare & Co" bookshop, that Henry Miller used to call "A wonderland of books".

This is a private tour and can depart any day.  Maximum participation is eight persons.  Private groups of one to eight are possible.  Price is total for the group and includes the services of a professional, certified guide bilingual French/English.  The tour duration is three hours and does not include any entrance fees or transportation.  The guide will provide a historical narrative, site information, stories, and anecdotal information as the tour progresses.
