Bonjour!

Springtime in Loire...and Beyond

Spring is arguably the best time of year to visit France…and perhaps most of all, the Loire Valley and Paris.  During April and May the lush French countryside springs to life with a profusion of vibrant color. This is a wonderful time to indulge in cycling, hiking and other outdoor adventures. And what better place than the Loire, the breathtakingly beautiful river valley that once served as the playground of French royalty as it was a day’s horseback or carriage ride away from Paris.

The terrain of the Loire is

wonderful for cycling–with mostly flat to rolling

terrain–and the region is filled with scenic rivers, trees, castles and of course, wineries. We offer two versions of our “Classic” Loire itineraries. For those with limited time, consider our 5 days/4 nights tour where you’ll explore the area between Amboise and Blois including the incredible castles of Chambord & Chenonceau. Our 8 days/7 night tour adds more vineyards, and the scenic towns of Azay le Rideau, Villandry and Chinon.

Your visit to France wouldn't be complete without a visit to Paris. Most of our tours start and end with a train ride to or from Paris making it easy to add additional nights before or after your bike tour. We can help with travel arrangements, hotel bookings, day tours, as well as show and cruise tickets. Visit GoToParis.net for complete details.
