DAY 1
Day 1: Arriving in the wine capital, the city of of Beaune, you have a little time to explore this city and some of its treasures including the Hotel Dieu (hospices) before or after your arrival orientation at 6PM. Dinner on your own in town, and free time to visit. Night in centrally located 3 star hotel with large rooms.

Day 2: Beaune-Meursault-Santenay-Beaune: This ride will first take you to Volnay, a village known for its red wine for over 8 centuries! The continue to Meursault: With 437ha. of vineyards dedicated to Villages wine or Premier Cru, Meursault has the largest area permitted to be planted in white wine in the Cote d/or and has historically been a Burgundy center for white wine production. Return to Beaune for short option (22km), or for a longer option ride to Santenay a charming town of about one thousand inhabitants, bordered by mountains and overlooking south, before returning to Beaune (48km) Dinner on your own. Day 3: Beaune – Savigny – Nuits St Georges - Beaune: Leave Beaune and head to Meloisey before reaching Savigny-les-Beaune, a small village between the Corton Mountain and Beaune. Savigny is part of a very old vineyards which used to belong to the local Dukes and Abbeys. Its 14th C. Castle still reflects the pride and status this vineyard used to have. From there, you can either take a short ride back to Beaune (29km) or choose the long option going to Aloxe-Corton and Nuits-Saint-Georges, village giving its name to the famous Cote-de-Nuits area. Day 4: Cycling is optional today, but for those who continue, we suggest rides in several directions from Beaune. Beaune- Nolay – Beaune: Moderate ride through the Cote de Beaune vineyards to Nolay, small medieval market town, with a 14th C. Market place, wooden framed houses, the Lazare Carnot birth house and museum of local history is a town worth exploring. On the way back to Beaune, stop in Chassagne-Montrachet, known for its Chardonnay grape for white wine, and its Pinot Noir grape for red wine. 56km. OR Beaune-Chateauneuf-Beaune: Ride to Chateauneuf, a beautifully quaint French wine country village over-looking the vineyard land of the Cote d/Or and the Bourgogne Canal and with its Castle known as one of Burgundy’s jewels of medieval architecture. This ride is a little bit more challenging due to the distance, but definitely worth it! 71km(B)
