It is a very challenging tour following the routes of the Giro – the famous Italian cycling race.
A local guide will accompany you, guiding and offering assistance throughout the trip to help you climb some of the most magnificent climbs in the Italian Alps. After climbing numerous mountain passes in the Dolomites, you will be rewarded by the beauty and peacefulness of the Lake Garda.

Day 1 : Arrive in the Dolomites
Arrive at your hotel at Cortina D’Ampezzo, in the heart of the Dolomites either on your own or with an arranged transfer from the Milan airport. One of our guides will meet you and present your trip and prepare your bike so you can attack at your best the Italian mountain passes!

Day 2 : Cycle from Cortina d’Ampezzo to Canazei
Distance 1 : 62 Miles - 100 Km
Today, leave Cortina d’Ampezzo, known as the Queen of the Dolomites to conquer 3 Alpine passes often used in the Giro d’Italia: Passo Giau, Passo di Valparola and the Passo di Gardena. Measure your own performance on a 9.1 percent grade during 10.1 kilometers. You will be awarded with an amazing panorama.

Day 3 : Climb 4 Dolomites mountain passes
Distance 1 : 61 Miles - 98 Km
Today’s ride will bring you across the legendary Passo di Selle, an inevitable stage of the Giro, but also the Passo Pordoi, one of the highest mountain passes of the Dolomites.
Climbs : Passo di Sella (2244m), Passo Pordoi (2239m), Forcella Orcine (1299m) et Passo di Cereda (1369m)

Day 4 : Ride from Fiera di Primiero to Cavalese
Distance 1 : 50 Miles - 81 Km
Today you will climb 3 unforgettable mountain passes used during the Giro and follow the footsteps of the world’s greatest cyclists through a region whose beauty is attributed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
There is a one hour transfer after your ride to Merano.

Day 5 : Climb the Passo dello Stelvio
Distance 1 : 62 Miles - 100 Km
The challenge of the day is the Passo dello Stelvio at 2758 meters altitude. It is just as breathtaking for the long climb to the summit, as it is for its beauty. From the top you can admire the bird’s eye view of the 60 switchbacks. Your ride finishes at the spa resort of Bormio.

Day 6 : Cycle from Bormio to Dimaro
Distance 1 : 50 Miles - 80 Km
The Passo di Gavia is a renowned mountain pass of the Giro, known for its quirky weather. Erik Breuknik won the stage in the middle of a snow storm. Let it leave its own impression on you. You will also climb the Passo Tonola, a grand natural setting at the foot of a glacier Presena, before finishing in Dimaro.

Day 7 : Ride to Lake Garda
Distance 1 : 56 Miles - 90 Km
For your final ride: on to the Lake Garda! Leave the mountains by Madona di Campiglio, a picturesque village, descending towards Torbole where you can admire the splendid views of the Lake Garda.

Day 8 : Leave Lake Garda
Take your time for a nice breakfast before your departure. It’s about a 3 hour transfer to the Milan Malpensa airport.

You simply have to follow the line shown on the GPS, and enjoy. 1 GPS for every 1-3 people
Our roadbooks are complete packages of information that will help you to guide yourself through the itinerary that we have planned and laid out. We have invested significant time and incorporated the feedback of our customers over many years (since 1997!) to make our roadbooks even better. Our roadbooks include: color maps, highlighted routes, touristic information, orientation points to reach hotels, and easy to follow step by step directions (cue-sheets). Please note that for custom itineraries you will not have cue sheets. Only maps and GPS routes.
