Tour de France legendary climbs-Stage 2-Mont Ventoux
The layout of each route has been carefully crafted by our team. 3 versions allow you adapt to the shape and the desires of each day:Short version: 35km +1500m, Medium version: 75km +2000m or Long version: 125km +2500m
The itineraries are inspired by the routes taken by the Tour de France. You will climb the "Giant of Provence" from the two sides. The easiest one, from Sault, on the first day. The most difficult one, from Bédoin, the second one. The riders of the 2021 Tour will link these two climbs on stage 11.

Day 1 : Arrival in Avignon
Meeting at Avignon TGV station in the mid-afternoon. Your guides will take you to your hotel located in the Luberon, very close to the Ventoux, where you can make yourself comfortable.
Your guides will adjust your bikes to your morphology so that you will be in the best possible conditions for the days to come. A short briefing will follow which will tell you a little more about the organization of these few days.
The riders of the 2021 Tour de France will be on the Cluses - Tignes mountain stage. What are your predictions for the Tour?
We will end this day with a friendly dinner, the opportunity to share our memories of the Tour.

Day 2 : Climb Mont Ventoux from Sault
Option 1 : 22 Miles - 36 Km
Option 2 : 44 Miles - 70 Km
Option 3 : 78 Miles - 125 Km
Elevation gain 1 : 1210 Meters Elevation gain 2 : 1930 Meters Elevation gain 3 : 2660 Meters
For this first day on the roads of the Tour, you will ride through the Luberon, you will discover small and typical villages but above all you will set off to conquer the Mont Ventoux, the famous Giant of Provence, so dreaded by cyclists from all over the world.
During the climb, you won't be able to forget the famous foot race of Froome which made such debate. The Ventoux is a large pass climbed about ten times by the riders of the Tour and which saw Poulidor, Merckx and Thevenet win.
On the long option, from the beginning, you will be on the road of the Tour through the small villages of Provence, you will pass Apt then Sault, famous for its lavender fields, at this moment, you will be at the foot of the Ventoux, start this ascent with caution because the last kilometers will be the longest.
At the top, don't forget the photo at the foot of the "Mont Ventoux" sign and then go down to Malaucène, the finish town of this year's stage.
On the medium option, your guides will take you to Apt to ride the last part of the route with, of course, the ascent of Mont Ventoux.
The short option will exclusively do the ascent of the Ventoux from Sault.
A visit to the Lavender Museum will be organized in Cabrières les Avignon, where you will be able to discover this very special and unique culture.
In the evening, take the time to discuss and share your anecdotes and your predictions for the upcoming stages of the Tour de France, today the Tour riders are resting.
Day 3 : Le Ventoux by Bedoin and Gorges de la Nesque
Option 1 : 29 Miles - 46 Km
Option 2 : 50 Miles - 80 Km
Option 3 : 76 Miles - 123 Km
Elevation gain 1 : 1630 Meters Elevation gain 2 : 2000 Meters Elevation gain 3 : 2450 Meters
Second day of biking, second day to climb the Ventoux, this time by Bédoin! Climbing the Ventoux is an unforgettable experience that you will treasure, so let's go twice!
On the long option, you will go towards the Dentelles de Montmirail, to reach Bedoin and the foot of this giant of Provence, you're up to you to play again! At the top, you will be proud of yourself, proud to have climbed this mythical pass twice the riders of the Tour will do the same itinerary in only one stage! Descent to Sault to return by the magnificent Gorges de la Nesque.
For the medium option, your guides will transfer you to Bédoin to directly start the ascent of the Ventoux and ride on the last part of the stage to discover the Gorges de la Nesque.
The short option will also start from Bédoin and will exclusively climb the Mont Ventoux and then descend to Sault.
Your guides will take you back to your hotel to rest after this intense day. Take advantage of your evening to watch the stage of the day on TV comfortably installed at your hotel. The riders will arrive in Valence probably with a sprint, as the stage starts from Albertville and is flat on the second part. Who of the sprinters will be the best?
Day 4 : VIP area near Chalet Reynard: Experience 2 passages of the Tour de France in VIP area
In the morning, for the most motivated, a small loop ride will be organized to climb up to Chalet Reynard.
We all dreamed of it once we were in the Ventoux, comfortably positioned admire the 2 historical passages of the Tour riders. On a private area at the Chalet Reynard you will have a front row seat to follow the outcome of this stage. You will have a privileged view on today's stage in the Ventoux with 2 passages of the riders of the Tour, petits fours and cold drinks will be served.
This is truly the place to be if you are a Tour de France enthusiast. It will be a great end to your stay.
Your guide will drive you back to your hotel at the end of the day where you can share your memories of the Tour for the last evening!
On a private area near the Chalet Reynard you will have a front row seat to follow the outcome of this stage. You will have a privileged view on the Stage of the day in the Ventoux with 2 passages of the riders of the Tour, petits fours and cold drinks will be served.
Day 5 : Departure
After a last good breakfast, your guides will drive you back to Avignon.
Enjoy these last moments in Provence and in the atmosphere of the Tour.
The riders of the Tour will be today on a flat stage between Provence and Nimes, a beautiful Roman city.Why not continue the stay with stage 3 in the Pyrenees?
