Day 1 : Arrive in Black Perigord
You will arrive by your own means at Les Eyzies de Tayac, in the heart of Périgord Noir. You will settle into your hotel where you will receive your travel documents as well as an orientation by phone.

Day 2 : Hike around Les Eyzies
Distance 1 : 7 Miles - 12 Km
Elevation gain 1 : 200 Meters
It's the first day of hiking, you will leave for a loop around Les Eyzies. You will discover the prehistoric surroundings through the forests of Périgord. You will walk along the Vézère River where you can have a picnic. Then you return to your hotel in Les Eyzies.

Day 3 : Loop around Limeuil and Le Bugue
Option 1 : 8 Miles - 13.5 Km
Option 2 : 14 Miles - 23 Km

After a transfer, you will start your hike with two possible choices, short and long, either from Le Bugue or from Limeuil. You will cross the villages of Périgord Noir, while following the Vézère River. Then you return to Les Eyzies at the end of your hike.

Day 4 : From Les Eyzies to Montignac
Option 1 : 9 Miles - 14 Km
Option 2 : 12 Miles - 20 Km
Elevation gain 1 : 300 Meters
Elevation gain 2 : 510 Meters
You will leave Les Eyzies by taxi, where you will have two choices for hiking: A short one from Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère or a long one from Peyzac-le-Moustier. You will follow a path along the site of Roque Saint Christophe, a prehistoric troglodytic village before arriving at Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, where you will have the possibility to stop for lunch. Finally, you will take a path through forests and typical hamlets that will lead you to your destination, Montignac.

Day 5 : Montignac Loop
Distance 1 : 4 Miles - 7 Km
Elevation gain 1 : 150 Meters
From Montignac, you will go for a short hike around the village, to discover the prehistoric caves of Lascaux. You also have the possibility to visit Lascaux IV (not included). Then you return to your hotel in Montignac.

Day 6 : Departure from Montignac
It is the day of departure, after breakfast, you will be transferred to Sarlat-la-Canéda.

Step inside and enjoy a delightful experience in this 17th century listed 4* hotel, only a few steps away from the Lascaux hill. The hotel has a bar, restaurant, terrace and free private parking with beautiful rooms overlooking the town of Montignac. Jean de Bouilhac was the doctor of Louis XV, whom he cured by making him drink a thistle tea, the Dauphin appointed him as his children's doctor.
