Our Grand Départ 2026 adventure kicks off in the early afternoon at Barcelona airport or train station, where we’ll meet the group and set off for a 1.5-hour transfer to Girona, a city beloved by professional cyclists from around the world. Nestled in the heart of Catalonia, Girona offers cobbled streets, medieval charm, and a vibrant cycling culture that makes it the perfect base for exploring the region’s legendary climbs.

After a welcome meeting and bike fitting, you’ll have the chance to wander Girona’s picturesque old town or take a short ride on nearby loops to experience the roads favored by pro riders. In the evening, join us for a group dinner at the hotel, where we’ll toast the start of an unforgettable journey through the world of professional cycling and the excitement of the Tour de France Grand Départ.

A beautiful cycling loop awaits you on this first full day, in the heart of Catalonia. Girona, a true cyclist’s paradise, offers rolling hills, quiet roads, and stunning landscapes. Today’s loop will take you through the legendary Els Àngels climb, a favorite training route for professional riders, with breathtaking views of the Catalan countryside at every turn.

After an invigorating ride, you’ll have time to relax and explore Girona’s charming streets. In the evening, we’ll transfer to Barcelona to attend the official presentation of the riders, an exclusive opportunity to witness the excitement and pageantry of the Tour de France Grand Départ up close.

After a good breakfast, today you'll be climbing the most famous pass in the Dolomites: the famous Stelvio (2758m - 9048 feet). Things get serious right from the start of the climb, as Bormio lies at the foot of the Stelvio. You'll climb its 20km (12,4 mi) ascent and roll around its famous bends, admiring an exceptional view over the valley. For the more motivated, you can descend on the other side and climb back up to the north face. This way, you'll have climbed both sides of this spectacular path to reach a cumulative vertical drop of 3385 m (1263 feet)! Then back to Bormio to enjoy the evening in a restaurant, where dinner will be served for everyone and where you can share your sensations during the Stelvio ascent(s).

In the morning, you'll depart from Girona and travel to Barcelona to experience the Grand Départ and witness the excitement of the Team Time Trial. Upon arrival, you'll have the chance to soak in the atmosphere of the city as the Tour de France rolls through, with fans, teams, and the iconic race setup creating an unforgettable experience. Feel the energy of the peloton and the thrill of the race as the riders battle against the clock in this unique stage. Later, you'll have time to relax and explore the city before gathering in the evening to share your impressions and celebrate a full day immersed in the world of the Tour de France.

In the morning, you'll head to Barcelona to experience the excitement of the Tour de France stage from Tarragone to Barcelona. Upon arrival, you'll have time to settle into your hotel and soak in the vibrant atmosphere of the city. Stroll through its lively streets, admire the architecture, and feel the energy building as the Tour rolls through Catalonia.

Later in the day, you'll witness the riders in action on this iconic stage, experiencing firsthand the passion and thrill that make the Tour de France one of the world’s most celebrated sporting events. In the evening, everyone will gather at the hotel for dinner to share stories of the day and relive the excitement of the race.
