Day 1 :   Arrive in Saint Brieuc.

Arrive in Saint Brieuc, a city that is easy to reach by train from Paris. A guide will meet you at your hotel to set up a bike and present your trip and give you any information necessary for your Brittany experience.

Day 2 :   From Saint Brieuc to Sable d’Or by the coast

Distance 1 : 29 Miles - 46 Km 
Elevation gain 1 : 530 Meters 

The leg of today’s journey explores the largest production of farmed mussels in Europe, which goes well with the ocean panoramas that you will encounter. After following the bay of Yffiniac, where Bernard Hinault, the famous cycling racer was born, your ride will zig zag between the sea and countryside along small country roads.
You will travel by the picturesque port of Dahouet. And finish your day with a last little climb to the port of Erquy, then down to the beaches of Sable d’Or Les Pins where you will spend your night. A large beach of fine sand awaits you. Or for another type of leisure, try the Casino.

Day 3 :   Sable d'or to Matignon

Distance 1 : 25 Miles - 40 Km 
Elevation gain 1 : 464 Meters 

A bike path marked the « Tour de Manche », will show the direction to follow to reach Cap Fréhal. From atop the cliffs that tower 70 meters above the sea, you can watch a grand spectacle unfold in front of you. Your travels cross an environmental reserve with wild heather, furze, broom, and ferns providing a beautiful mixture of colors. You will travel to the historical monument, the Fort of La Latte, a remarkable château built on the stones hovering above the sea. Then ride around the Fresnaye bay where you can meet local oyster farmers and try the merchandise. Arrive at your day’s destination where you can take a dip on the beaches of Saint-Cast.

Day 4 :   Matignon to Dinan

Distance 1 : 22 Miles - 35 Km 
Elevation gain 1 : 269 Meters 

You’ll leave the coast to ride towards a medieval jewel, Dinan! This town has preserved the granite stones and half- timbered homes since medieval ages. Travel back in time, but first explore the other marvels of the day. Small country roads will bring you through remarkable villages such as Plancoët, known for their natural mineral water. The countryside roads of Brittany that wind through a patchwork of green fields and stone walls provide a splendid itinerary. You arrive in the old part of Dinan, along the shores of the Rance River.

Day 5 :   Dinan to Saint Malo

Distance 1 : 19 Miles - 31 Km 
Elevation gain 1 : 167 Meters 

You will leave Dinan passing by the picturesque homes that run alongside the port and crossing its charming stone bridge. You will start with a nice downhill followed by several kilometers on a flat towpath. For a little challenge in the day, an uphill awaits you to join Taden and Saint-Samsen before joining a bike path to Dinard. You can admire the Taden Manor and its countryside. Dinard is the French Riviera of Brittany, with large villas, important luxury hotels. Large sandy beaches and ice cream stands. There is a certain charm with the 19th century architecture and British influence. From Dinard you will climb aboard a boat shuttle that joins Saint-Malo (included in trip) You arrive within the fortress of Saint Malo. Here awaits a completely different ambiance than Dinard. This town is very imposing with ramparts and large demurs.

Day 6 :   Saint Malo to Cancale

Distance 1 : 17 Miles - 28 Km 
Elevation gain 1 : 305 Meters 

Today you will explore the famous Emerald coast up to Grouin. From here you can observe a magnificent view of the ocean and eventually catch a glimpse of the Mont Saint Michel. Your final destination is Cancale, a fishing village known for its oysters and in particular one that is nicknamed « horse-foot ». Legends say that the King Louis XIV ordered oysters from Cancale to be delivered regularly at Versailles. There are more than 7.3 km2 of oyster farmed from the port during low tides.

Day 7 :   Cancale to Mont Saint Michel

Distance 1 : 31 Miles - 50 Km 
Elevation gain 1 : 162 Meters 

Today your objective is to reach the famous Mont Saint Michel. But before then, you will discover a lot more. Along the way, stop in the fishing village of St. Benoit des Ondes. Or stop to explore the particular village of Mont Dol, a village perched on a legendary hilltop well known in legends and folklore.

Day 8 :   Departure from Mont Saint Michel

Take your time to enjoy your last breakfast or to take your last pictures of Mont Saint Michel. A bus is available to reach Rennes where you can eventually return to Paris by train. You can also reserve an extra night for a full day’s visit of Mont Saint Michel with an extra bike ride. Ask our team for more details.

Day : 1

Thanks to its exceptional location, on the heights of the Saint Cast peninsula, the hotel Port-Jacquet offers you an amazing view on the whole bay of Ebihens: you can see upto Saint Malo. Located between the beach and the harbour, this former stone house has kept the authenticity of an old guest house dating of the first seaside resort period. Built in the middle of 1820, the hotel Le Challoge is one of the oldest hotels in Dinan. In the heart of the medieval city, this family hotel faced the Duguesclin place and is very close to the castle and its ramparts. Arrival city: Saint Brieuc
Departure city: Mont Saint Michel

Saint Brieuc is about 450 km from Paris. Althought there is an airport close to the city, the easiest way to reach Saint Brieuc is the TGV (2h30 from Paris).

For the way back, several options are possible: Either you take the bus until Rennes and then you can take the plane, the TGV or the train to leave the city, or you take a bus until Dol de Bretagne and then the TGV to Paris.
