We head south and enjoy climbing and descending through some of the most beautiful scenery that we know in the alps. It is breathtaking. We’ll pass through Semnoz and Leschaux and enjoy lunch along the way. A return to the hotel in the early afternoon will allow us time to relax and walk through the quaint old part of Annecy. We’ll walk into town this evening and enjoy a festive dinner together in the old part of town as we celebrate Bastille Day in France. What could be better??!!!

We are in for a big day today as we get to see the main event live and in person. After breakfast, we set off to intersect with the Tour de France riders North of Annecy. This Haute Savoie region of France is renowned for its natural beauty. With towering Alpine mountains and miles and miles of green pastures, this is truly one the top places in the world to cycle. We will have a small transfer by van to then ride our bikes and make the col de la Colombière to then reach our VIP access of the day: the Relais Etape VIP Experience that will be located along today’s stage route. This is another “behind the scenes” look at the highlife inside the Tour de France. We will enjoy a classic French lunch, huge TV screens for viewing and the ambience that can only be found here. After our lunch and after the roadside festivities have ended, we’ll make our way back to our hotel in Annecy by van.

Day 4 :   Ride around Lake Annecy then see TDF Stage 15 Live in Person!!

Distance 1 : 31 Miles - 50 Km
Elevation gain 1 : 825 Meters

After breakfast at the hotel, we will leave for a beautiful ride around Lake Annecy. Although most of the ride is fairly flat, we’ll challenge ourselves by taking a slight detour to climb the nearby Col de la Forclaz and enjoy incredible views of the lake from above. You will be located at the ideal place to watch the riders of the Tour de France. Today will be a classic Tour de France viewing experience as we will sit roadside with people from all over the world. We’ll return to our hotel in the afternoon and rest up before dinner.

We will follow the exact route the Tour de France riders will ride several days from now, during stage 17 to Courchevel. Again, the scenery on today’s ride will be amazing. We pass through Beaufort before riding up the incredible Cormet de Roselend. The views from this famous point are unforgettable. We’ll be sure to take a break and rest before our fun descent down to our hotel in Bourg-Saint-Maurice below. After an early breakfast at the hotel, we will leave by bike from the hotel to go to the dam of Tignes. This rather impressive hydro-electric dam was completed in 1952 and towers over the valley below. In 1989, artist Jean-Marie Pierret and his team painted an image of the ancient Olympic figure Hercules on the front of the dam. This was done just before the 1992 Olympics which took place in nearby Albertville. The Col de L’Iseran towers over all other hills around here. The summit sits at 2,764 meters or 9,068 feet and is the highest paved road in the Alps!! We will enjoy a gourmet Discover France picnic for lunch at the top of the Iseran today. For the most motivated, you can head for the Mont Cenis pass. The return will be done by van. We’ll enjoy dinner together tonight at a restaurant in Bourg Saint Maurice. We’ll raise a glass and toast this amazing day on the bike!

Day 7 :   Live TDF Izoard experience at summit finish in Courchevel!!

Distance 1 : 16 Miles - 25 Km
Elevation gain 1 : 1240 Meters

Today is the big day at the Tour de France. When the route was announced in late October, 2022, it was immediately evident that today’s stage between Saint Gervais-Mont Blanc and Courchevel was the queen stage of the 2023 race. Our VIP Experience at today’s summit finish in Courchevel will be the icing on the cake of this trip. After breakfast, we’ll do a very brief shuttle with our vans to Courchevel. You will climb the famous Col de la Loze and finally you will reach the finish line at the Altiport of Courchevel. You will be privileged because you will ride the last kilometers of the day's stage and you will cross the finish line a few hours before the Tour de France riders. You will then climb on the official podium of the Tour de France, you will be able to take some souvenir pictures. Then we’ll take our place inside of the VIP Izoard hospitality zone. Enjoy food, beverages and the camaraderie of fellow fans as you relish in the energy that only a select few have access to. We will wait for a few hours while eating and drinking and before long the distant sound of helicopters will signal that the riders are not far away. We will enjoy an energy that is incredible today and this will be a Tour de France stage that you will likely not forget. After the riders and cars and caravans have cleared, we will descend by van back to Bourg Saint Maurice to celebrate the end of an incredible Tour de France adventure.

Day 8 :   Au Revoir to the Alps – Transfer to Lyon

After breakfast at our hotel in Bourg Saint-Maurice, we will shuttle guests to Lyon. The transfer time will be approximately 2.5 hours.
