We had a LOVELY trip! I was the rookie of the group and I thought the routes were great - absolutely beautiful scenery!! All the hotels/chateaus were gorgeous! We had the most wonderful trip! Everything worked out well, and we loved all the places we stayed and the chateaux we visited. The dinners and breakfasts at the hotels were all superb. We really liked the Hotel Anne d'Anjou, and while the rooms were smaller and not as grand as the previous nights, that was no problem at all. The staff there were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was just as a wonderful as the other hotels. The setting of Anne d'Anjou was really nice, just below the Chateau de Saumur, similar to how Le Choiseul is situated just below the Chateau d'Amboise. We were glad to have the paniers to carry wine! We struggled a little the first day trying to follow the detailed directions while biking, but from the second day on, Nik just followed the GPS and we referred to the directions occasionally. That was much easier. The routes were great, especially all of the bike tracks. We never felt too overwhelmed with cars. Thank you so much for arranging everything. It was a very special trip and we have already recommended the trip to several friends. We want to go back and do another trip in France or Italy! Merci!

It's been wonderful: great tracks and exercise, and the destinations and accommodations-- amazing (both hotels first-rate). Hotel Mercure has this incredible breakfast-- you have to experience their fresh pressed raspberry juice.

It was a wonderful trip, and I would recommend it to others. The routes were very well planned. We liked having the option to take different distances. Great job choosing the sites to stop and tour. Raphael was very helpful pointing out the places we should really spend time at. The Chateau de Villandry with the gardens was gorgeous. The scenery was amazing and the routes took us through villages and vineyards exactly as described in the brochure. The people we met were friendly and helpful. Each Chateau was more amazing than the last! The service was impeccable and the food was incredible. We looked forward to each new location. No one could believe the pictures I sent home to friends and family. There’s nothing like this in the States. At each place the staff expected us, and often the luggage had already arrived and was placed in our rooms. The local Discover France staff was also excellent. Raphael was right on time with our bikes and made sure the seats were adjusted and we were comfortable riding them. His colleague showed up on time to transfer us to Chinon on the last day. He even pointed out Sleeping Beauty’s castle and let us stop to take a photo. As you said, they were trustworthy and reliable. We never worried about our luggage. [...] Overall a wonderful trip, I’m telling all of my friends to use your company. It was really the best of both worlds, to be taken care of yet on our own to do what we wanted on our own schedule. Thanks for your support and willingness to answer all of my questions leading up to the trip.

We just got back from our trip to France. I wanted to tell you that our group of riders were very impressed with the Loire Valley trip . The bikes were great ,the routes were wonderful, the Que. sheets were excellent and the GPS were a big help( although there were a couple of incorrect destination ie directions to hotel LE XII ) and the accommodations were very nice except the Hotel de France et de Guise was marginal the staff was excellent .All were conveniently located. To top it all off the weather couldn't have been better. Just wanted to say thank you for the excellent job of providing us with the tools for a great vacation. Merci Beaucoup ! Bill Beland

The routes have been great. The bikes are heavy but are working well. No real complaints. The hotels have been great as well. The restaurant in Domaine Beauvois was outstanding. We are really enjoying the chateaus we are seeing. Just one more today and then our legs will thank us for being done.

While most of our travelers opt for one of our pre-planned self-guided itineraries, we can modify any of our tours to suit your particular needs. We typically offer a variety of hotels to fit your budget.
You can start your tour any day that you’d like and we book the hotels after you’ve made your booking with your chosen arrival day. Since our tours are self-guided and are mostly catering to couples, families, and small groups of friends, the hotels are a lot easier to confirm availability and more importantly, unlike a guided tour, the trip won’t get cancelled due to low participation. You can even do the cycle tour by yourself if you’d like.
