Taiwan Bike Tour - Cycling around the island

Arrival in Taipei opens with the glow of neon streets, fragrant night markets and the distant silhouette of Taipei 101 rising above the skyline. Glide from the airport into a city where Taoist temples, Japanese-era lanes and sleek shopping districts sit side by side. Taste steaming xiao long bao, sip fragrant oolong tea and feel the pulse of local life in bustling metro stations and quiet neighborhood parks. As evening falls, stroll through lantern-lit alleys and let the hum of scooters and street vendors welcome you to Northern Taiwan’s vibrant capital.

Two shuttle vans will take us to Muzha. From here, we'll start biking to Shifen Old Street, then trough the Caoling old tunnel, to Sandiaojiao lighthouse, Fulong station, and finally to the hotel.

Two vans will take us to the Jiaoxi thermal park. We will start cycling from there, passing through the land of oranges, the Annong stream, Tiangongpi, and the Xingyuan tea garden for a DIY experience. Then, the vans will take us to the Jiuwu hotel.

Elevation gain: 335 m

Take the vans from Luodong to Hualien station, then start cycling - Yanlio - Fengbin - Guangfeng highway - Guangfu sugar factory.

Distance: 72 km (45mi)

Elevation gain: 1110 m

Guangfu - Danong dafu county road 193 - Yuchang highway - Monday coffee drinking coffee - Chenggong.

In eastern Taiwan, there are couples of different nice route we choose for you to cycle. Each of them has awesome scenery that worth to see. The one we take is in east rift valley, and it all comes with rolling hills. This route is a beautiful tre-lined road and you can see many rice paddlies and orchards surrounfing.

Starting from Chenggong - Donghe old bridge - Dulan - Taitung city - Black children - Black coffee drinking coffee - Taimali.

Distance: 104 km (65mi)

Elevation gain: 1620 m

Option 1 : feel free to participate in the morning ride. Elevate along with the sea level and look for traces of the southernmost tip of Taïwan. Don't think that the Eluanbi lighthouse is the southernmost of Taïwan. Today, we will show you the true face of the southernmost tip of Taïwan.

Option 2 : visit the national museum of marine biology and aquarium in Kenting ( tickets not included )

Explore the wonders of marine life at Taïwan's largest aquarium. You can see a variety of exhibits, including the Taïwan waters pavilion, coral kingdom pavilion, and waters of the world pavilion. It's a great place for both kids and adults to learn about marine ecosystems and enjoy interactive displays.

Transfer from Kenting to Kaohsiung by vans. Visit the impressive Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum and enjoy a vegetarian lunch on site. Continue to Kaohsiung to explore the vibrant Pier-2 Art Center, a former harbor warehouse district transformed into a creative and cultural hub.

Transfer to Tainan Anping Fort and Alishan.

Starting from Alishan by bike - Lulin sacred tree - Tatajia - Lunch at Wanggao - Pick up the car at Meizi dream factory - Take a ride to sun moon lake.

Wangyou valley, located in Waipu district, Taichung, is often referred to as the "brown Boulevard of Taichung". This picturesque valley is known for its stunning seasonal landscapes. Troughout the year, visitors can enjoy the vibrant green fields during spring and summer, the golden hues of autumn harvest, and the colourful blossoms of rapeseed.

Transfer to Taipei
