This bike tour will let you experience the charming wine town of Beaune and the beautiful Burgundy vineyards around it.
You will discover Beaune and the famous Hospice de Beaune, founded in 1443. You will also go through the vineyards of the Cote de Beaune with some famous names such as Meursault, Pommard or Puligny-Montrachet among other Chateaux. Visit the old villages of Savigny les Beaune and Chateauneuf and immerge yourself in the 14th century Burgundy!
This trips accommodates cyclists of various abilities, and even non-cyclists who would like to explore Beaune, its history, and even just walk around to discover its beautiful architecture.

Day 1 :   Arrive in Beaune

Arrive in the wine capital, the city of of Beaune. Before or after your orientation you have time to explore this city and some of its treasures including the Hotel Dieu, also called Hospices de Beaune. Night in centrally located hotel. Wine tastings and guided tours are available when booked in advance.

Day 2 :   Meursault Vineyards

Option 1 : 12 Miles - 20 Km  Option 2 : 29 Miles - 46 Km  Option 3 : 35 Miles - 56 Km  Option 4 : 42 Miles - 68 Km

  • Cotes de Beaunes vineyard area (22-46-68km/14-28-42mi): You will visit Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chagny, Pommard, and then return to Beaune. You will find many opportunities to taste and purchase products along the way. Overnight in Beaune.
  • Cotes de Beaunes - challenging option (56km/35mi): this itinerary includes the first option, plus an extra ride to Rochepot Baubigny and Nolay

Day 3 :   Cycle to Savigny les Beaune

Distance 1 : 39 Miles - 63 Km

  • Cotes de Beaunes - challenging option (52km/31mi): this itinerary includes the first option, plus an extra ride to Rochepot Baubigny and Nolay

  • Loop around Beaune to Savigny les Beaune (28km/18mi): This itinerary will take you towards Savigny les Beaune, a small village between the Corton Mountain and Beaune. Savigny situated in a very old vineyards which used to belong to the local Dukes and Abbeys. Its 14th C. Castle still reflects the pride and status this vineyard used to have.
  • Loop around Chateauneuf (up to 73km/43mi): Ride to Chateauneuf, a beautifully quaint French wine country village over looking the vineyards of the Cote d'Or and the Bourgogne Canal. Its Castle is known as one of Burgundys jewels of the Medieval architecture. This ride is a little bit more challenging due to the distance, but definitely worth it!

Day 4 :   Bike the Burgundy vineyards

Option 1 : 19 Miles - 30 Km  Option 2 : 46 Miles - 74 Km 
Elevation gain 1 : 370 Meters  Elevation gain 2 : 896 Meters
