Holland, or the Netherlands as it is officially known, is a very bicycle-friendly country. The way that cycling is included in the traffic systems, the general small scale of everything and the flat terrain all contribute greatly in providing the perfect conditions for a stress-free tour! On this tour you will pedal your way through different types of landscapes, each with its own cultural and historical characteristics.

From April to the first week of May, this tour will leave from Haarlem (instead of Abcoude) in order to admire and ride through the innumerable tulips fields between Haarlem and Leiden!

Day 1 :   Arrival in Amsterdam

Amsterdam is famous for the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank house, its beautiful canals and of course, its vibrant atmosphere. We recommend that you visit the city before your cycle tour, taking public transport (train and tram).

Day 2 :   Transfer to Abcoude then ride to Leiden

Option 1 : 27 Miles - 43 Km  Option 2 : 31 Miles - 50 Km

You will be transfered to Abcoude where you will meet us to handout equipment and to give a thorough explanation of the tour. First day the bike tour goes from Abcoude to the historic town of Leiden, one of the most beautiful towns in Holland. This day the tour goes through typical Dutch lowlands, with quiet bike lanes, lovely canals and windmills on the route.

Option 2 with supplement (40eur) : From April to the first week of May, you will have the possibility to leave from Haarlem (instead of Abcoude) in order to admire and ride through the innumerable tulips fields between Haarlem and Leiden!

Day 3 :   Leiden to Delft

Distance 1 : 25 Miles - 41 Km 
Elevation gain 1 : 98 Meters 

On third day the tour goes from Leiden to Delft (famous for its blue pottery). Along the coastal bike path through lovely sand dunes towards the governmental town of the Hague. In the Hague there are a lot of interesting museums and national and international highlights to visit.From the Hague, you will finally ride to the beautiful town of Delft to stay the night.

Day 4 :   Delft to Brielle or Rockanje

Option 1 : 16 Miles - 26 Km  Option 2 : 27 Miles - 43 Km 
Elevation gain 1 : 28 Meters  Elevation gain 2 : 61 Meters 

Today the tour leaves towards the harbour of Rotterdam. Along quaint villages and along a lovely canal. Pass the harbour of Rotterdam by a ferry crossing and by then it's a small ride to the picturesque village of Brielle to stay the night.

LONG OPTION available : this option will take you to a nice ride by the river of Nieuwe Waterweg and pass nearby the Maeslandkering

If you choose the Upgraded version of this tour, you will stay the night in a nice hotel between the dunes and the forest in the city of Rockanje.

Day 5 :   Brielle or Rockanje to Zierikzee

Distance 1 : 35 Miles - 56 Km 
Elevation gain 1 : 84 Meters 

The trip enters the Zeeland province, well known for its highly innovative infrastructural dams and dikes to protect this area against the sea. The tour will be a mixture of farmland, coastal areas and a ride over the dikes and dams. Finish this day will be in the beautiful historic town of Zierikzee

Day 6 :   Zierikzee to Middelburg

Distance 1 : 32 Miles - 52 Km 
Elevation gain 1 : 100 Meters 

Today the tour goes in the direction of Middelburg a jewel to stay and to stroll around. A lovely day along the coast towards the village of Veere and finally to Middelburg.

Day 7 :   Welcome to Belgium !

Distance 1 : 31 Miles - 50 Km 
Elevation gain 1 : 68 Meters 

Last day people will peddle along a canal to Vlissingen to take the ferry to Breskens. By then towards the lovely village of Sluis and by entering Belgium it will be a small trip finally to Bruges.

Day : 1

Hotel Résidence Le Coin is located in seven historic buildings in central Amsterdam. Rembrandt lived in the same street for a few years in the seventeenth century. In the hotel’s surroundings, much has been preserved from the Netherlands’ famed Golden Age. You will find a great number of important places of interest within walking distance from the hotel.


Day : 2

Day : 4

The charming Hotel De Zalm is located in the historical centre of Brielle, colloquially known as Den Briel. This 3-star hotel guarantees a pleasant stay, complemented by gastronomic delights. The stylish restaurant "The Crowned salmon" offers a delicious and varied selection of mouth-watering dishes. Brielle itself is an excellent base for excursions. The surrounding sprawling dune and polder area is the ideal place to explore by bicycle or on foot. And the stunning cities of Rotterdam and The Hague, boast many shopping and cultural attractions. Alternatively, why not soak up the sun in one of the many outdoor cafes in Brielle, a beautiful and picturesque fortified town.


Day : 5

In the middle of the beautiful island Schouwen-Duiveland lays the typical 18th century city Zierikzee. The friendly and enjoyable Hotel Zierikzee is situated in the center but in quiet surroundings. The new B&B in the old building from 1780 opened his doors in December 2004. A friendly word and clean rooms are the highest priority.


Day : 6

Hotel De Nieuwe Doelen is situated in the historic center of Middelburg. The beautiful old town offers a wide choice of restaurants, cafes, shops and attractions. Day : 5

You'll immediately feel at home in the charming 3-star hotel Hostellerie Schuddebeurs, run by host and hostess Bart and Tanja de Bree. The hotel lies in the heart of Schouwen-Duiveland, near Zierikzee and surrounded by lots of beautiful countryside. In the immediate surroundings, there are some fantastic walks and cycle routes. Or you can play a game of golf on one of the golf courses on the islands of Zeeland.


Day : 6

Bed & Breakfast ’t Poorthuys is located in a beautiful listed building from around 1530. This former doctor’s house is in the Koepoortstraat in the old historic centre of the city of Middelburg. ’t Poorthuys has been completly renovated in 2013 into a luxurious and charming Bed & Breakfast. All sights, numerous restaurants and bars are within walking distance. The B&B offers eight rooms equipped with all comforts located on the first and second floor of the building. Decorated with an eye for detail and a feeling of warmth without losing sight of the old monumental style. Equipped with all comforts. You can enjoy a restfull night after visiting the historic city and a tasty meal at one of the gourmet restaurants that Middelburg has to offer.


Day : 7

Martin’s Relais comprises five exquisite houses on the bank of the Spiegelrei, Bruges’ oldest harbour. The hotel stands witness to the city’s glorious past. In the 13th century, the five patrician homes belonged to state agents-hoteliers. They granted permission to foreign merchants to conduct business in Bruges, and they also offered them these dwellings as lodging for their stay in the city. So, the houses functioned as a residence, tavern, factory and storage space.
