Arrival in Pisogne invites you into a lakeside village where the calm waters of Lake Iseo meet the foothills of the Lombard mountains. Starting from Pisogne, you embark on this magnificent loop along the shores of Lake Iseo, between mountains, lakeside villages, and breathtaking panoramas. The first kilometers run along the lake to Lovere, one of Italy's most beautiful villages, whose medieval alleys and elegant palaces reveal the exceptional character of this stage.

The route then continues along the western shore passing through Riva di Solto, where cliffs plunging into the turquoise waters of the lake offer some of the most spectacular scenery of the course. The roads, gently hilly, alternate between cliffs, olive groves, and small fishing ports.

Reaching Paratico then Clusane, the atmosphere becomes livelier. Lakefront walks, marinas, and terraces offer a typically Italian ambiance before continuing towards Sulzano, the embarkation point for Monte Isola, Europe's largest inhabited lake island.

Starting from Pisogne, you leave the shores of Lake Iseo to embark on a beautiful loop in the heart of the Lombard Prealps. Very quickly, the route ascends towards Castelfranco, offering stunning panoramas over the lake and the surrounding mountains.

The journey continues towards San Vigilio and Monti, where winding roads pass through forests, high-altitude meadows, and small typical hamlets. The steady climbs are well rewarded with magnificent views of the valleys and the peaks of Val Camonica.

One of the highlights of the day is discovering Lake Moro, a true natural jewel nestled in the mountains. Surrounded by forests and hills, this glacial lake offers a peaceful atmosphere and is an ideal stop before heading back.

The descent then leads to Angolo Terme, known for its thermal waters, before reaching Darfo Boario Terme. The route continues through Pian Camuno, where the landscapes gradually open up to the Oglio Valley and the reliefs that dominate Lake Iseo.

Starting from Pisogne, you begin one of the most demanding stages of your stay around Lake Iseo. After a few kilometers of warm-up, the route passes through Piano and Rondinera before reaching Rogno and Darfo Boario Terme, where the valley gradually gives way to the first ramps of the ascent.

The climb to Montecampione is the main challenge of the day. The road steadily rises through coniferous forests and alpine pastures, alternating switchbacks, spectacular panoramas, and steeper sections. As the altitude increases, views open up over Val Camonica, Lake Iseo, and the peaks of the Lombard Prealps.

The ascent leads to Plan di Montecampione, a famous mountain resort that has become an iconic location in Italian cycling. Nearby stands the statue of Marco Pantani, a tribute to the legendary climber whose exploits have marked the history of the Giro d'Italia. This stop is a highlight of the stage, set in a grand alpine scenery.

After enjoying the exceptional panoramas, the descent gradually brings you back to the valley. The winding roads offer a long and pleasant succession of turns before reaching Darfo, then gently returning to Pisogne.

You arrive back in Pisogne at the end of an exceptional stage, dominated by the ascent of Montecampione, a true sporting challenge rewarded with remarkable alpine landscapes and a significant site in Italian cycling history.

The first few kilometers pass through the villages of Toline and Vello, following a scenic route offering stunning views of the shores and surrounding peaks.

The itinerary then continues towards Marone, Sale Marasino, and Sulzano, charming lakeside villages where small ports, tree-lined promenades, and lively terraces blend together. Throughout this section, the landscapes alternate between cliffs, olive groves, and turquoise waters, providing an immersion in one of Lombardy's most beautiful regions.

From Sulzano, a short ferry crossing allows you to reach Monte Isola, the largest inhabited lake island in Europe. The route passes through the picturesque villages of Carzano, Siviano, and Sinchignano, in a peaceful environment where narrow alleys, olive trees, and lake panoramas create a unique atmosphere, sheltered from car traffic.

After touring the island, the return by ferry to Sulzano allows you to reconnect with the eastern shore of the lake. The last few kilometers follow the waters of Iseo again before reaching Pisogne in a naturally stunning setting.
