Our Grand Départ 2027 adventure begins in Edinburgh, the Scottish capital chosen to launch the Tour de France. Arrive at your own pace throughout the day: our team will meet you at the airport or at the train station and take you to your hotel.

Take the afternoon to settle in and wander the historic streets of the city. In the evening, the whole group meets for a welcome briefing with our guides, followed by a group dinner to toast the start of an unforgettable week at the heart of professional cycling

Our first ride is a gentle one, the perfect way to settle into the week and get to know your bike. Heading out of Edinburgh, the route takes you towards the coast for dramatic sea views, on quiet roads through the Scottish countryside.

Back in Edinburgh in the afternoon, there is time to relax or explore the city before dinner together.

01 July - Loop around Edimburgh

A beautiful scenic ride, from one Scottish castle to another. Along the shores of the estuary, you will pass stately homes and spectacular castles, including the famous Stirling Castle, one of the most iconic in Scotland.

It is the longest day of the week, but with only small rolling hills it is very much achievable, and the landscapes make every kilometre worth it. In the evening, feel the atmosphere of a city in full Tour de France mode on the eve of the Grand Départ.

04 July - Departure Village at Edimburgh

The big day! This morning, experience the Grand Départ of the Tour de France 2027 in Edinburgh. Soak up the atmosphere, see the teams and riders get ready, and watch the peloton set off on the first stage of the Tour.

In the afternoon, we transfer to the Lake District, one of the most beautiful regions in England, and our base for the next three nights in Keswick.

VIP ACCESS DEPARTURE VILLAGE

On-site, you can follow the preparations and the excitement leading up to the start, thanks to giant screens broadcasting live images, interviews, and real-time commentary. You'll have the opportunity to watch the riders prepare for the day’s stage, witness the team presentations and their riders - a key moment when they sign the start sheet before heading off into the race.

Paddock Access (Team Bus): At the start village, pick up another wristband that grants you access to the paddock.

Feel free to step outside the start village to witness the grand departure of the publicity caravan.

The Start Village is also the stage for various activities: explore the Tour de France sponsors' stands, participate in contests/lotteries, collect exclusive goodies and taste regional specialties offered at the stands. The atmosphere is lively with musical performances, demonstrations, and occasionally cultural exhibitions highlighting the region hosting the stage.

VIP access closes after the stage's departure.

This VIP access immerses you in the heart of the action from the very start of the day, offering you an unforgettable and exclusive experience, up close with the riders and the legendary atmosphere of the Tour de France.

03 July - VIP Finish Line and Izoard in Liverpool

Today is the VIP highlight of the trip. We transfer to Liverpool, host city of the stage finish.

Get back on your bike and ride the final kilometres of the stage and cross the official finish line, a few hours before the pros. Then enjoy the afternoon as VIP guests in the finish area: an exclusive spot to follow the race and watch the riders sprint for the line, in the unique atmosphere of a Tour de France finish.

After the stage, we head back to the Lake District for dinner, with memories to last a lifetime. Riding across the official finish line and following the race as a VIP guest is a privilege reserved for very few: a truly exceptional Tour de France experience.

PODIUM-DAY - CROSS THE FINISH LINE

Meeting at the starting point and preparation

We’ll meet in the morning near the Tour route at an easily accessible parking area where you can leave your vehicle, located about 30 km from the finish of the day’s stage. We’ll enjoy a breakfast of pastries and coffee to introduce ourselves to our team and explain the day’s program in detail. We will then adjust the bikes to your body type to ensure you're in the best possible condition.

Experience the stage!

Set off to cover the last 30 to 40 kilometers that separate you from the finish of the stage! Our bike guide will be by your side to accompany and advise you throughout the day, while our van guide will stay at the back of the group, allowing everyone to ride at their own pace and call on assistance if needed.

Crossing the finish line

Realize your wildest dreams and cross the finish line as a Tour de France rider! Like the peloton, you’ll enjoy closed roads for the occasion and have an official car escorting you as you pass the finish line of the day’s stage, cheered on by the crowd already gathered along the roads. Feel free to take photos at the finish line to capture this exceptional moment.

You will then have the incredible privilege of standing on the official Tour de France podium, allowing you to keep a memorable souvenir of this unforgettable day.

Passing of the pro riders

You’ll have time to gather your thoughts while waiting for the peloton of the Tour de France to pass by.

Our guides will have prepared an authentic and delicious picnic close to the finish.

You’ll be right next to the race and can imagine what the riders are experiencing at that moment. At the end of the day, you’ll return to the starting point by bike or van, depending on available routes.

IZOARD VIP ARRIVAL AREA

Immerse yourself in the heart of the action in a premium and high-end setting, perfect for cycling enthusiasts.

From its early afternoon opening, enjoy its exceptional location to witness the final decisive moments of the stage, often where the race is won or lost. Whether from the top of the bus or under sun umbrellas, you can closely follow the race on the giant screen or live, all while freely moving around to enjoy petits fours or a glass of rosé. Take advantage of this VIP area, away from the crowds, without missing a second of the race.

As the riders cross the finish line, celebrate this unique moment with a glass of champagne in hand, surrounded by fans from all over the world! Enjoy the race in a relaxed atmosphere, refreshed and far from the hustle and bustle. It’s the ultimate experience for Tour lovers who want to enjoy the event in optimal conditions, with the best viewpoint, quality service, and above all, an unforgettable moment.

(Please note that on certain mountain stages, the Izoard Lounge may be located at the foot of the climb due to space and preservation reasons.)

04 July - Lake District Loop

A last day in the saddle, and what a finale: today's loop showcases the very best of the northern Lake District. Ride alongside shimmering lakes, take on one of the legendary mountain passes of the region, and enjoy breathtaking views of the fells all day long.

In the evening, a final dinner together to celebrate the week.
