A sport that’s way more fun than hiking! And a means of transportation.
Your favorite trip?
From Passau to Vienna, one of my first cycling trips.
A travel anecdote about you?
Still on that Passau–Vienna trip: 10 days of riding in the rain, and we came home without our bikes – they were stolen in Vienna!!! But despite that, amazing memories and many more trips followed: Canal du Midi, Nantes–Brest Canal, Nivernais Canal… now with the kids 🙂
Another great memory (a bit more positive!): climbing Mont Ventoux multiple times – always just as spectacular and challenging. The “Giant of Provence” was part of my childhood; I could see it from my bedroom window, so I had to ride it one day!

Wine… but not under the sun!
A hidden talent?
For my team, I’m capable of crashing (that’s the easy part), getting my hand stitched up in the middle of a trip by a rural doctor… just to keep going, push through, and enjoy every moment!
